Diagnostic of nuclear energetic' facilities

Diagnostic of nuclear energetic' facilities

Our department is dealing with industrial diagnostics - mainly diagnostics of nuclear energetic - from the beginning of its existence.

The continuous vibration diagnostic of energetic reactors' internal components is a very important prerequisite for the safe operation. These vibrations can be effectively studied via vibrationally induced neutron noise. Our department is involved into the processing of experimental data from neutron noise measurements and also into the modelling of measurements.

Last years we have turned our interest into the diagnostic of fusion plasmas. In this field we study and develop different diagnostic methods and we contribute in experimental data processing. As examples can be named Beam Emission Spectro-scopy, Langmuir probe measurements and Impurity transport modelling and measurements.

Our research programme is realized in the strong national and international cooperation with recognized institutions. Our collaborators are:

Wigner Research Centre for Physics of Hungarian Academy of Sciences
