Welcome to the website of the Department of Physics and Chemistry!
The main task of our department is to offer preparatory physics and chemistry courses as well as special professional and natural science subjects for the engineering degrees of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences. Basically, the Physics Laboratory and the Laboratory of Chemistry serve educational goals. Our research activity in chemistry is focused on environmental chemistry, the chemical analysis of inorganic and organic pollutants in environmental samples. In the field of applied physics, the following research activities are in progress in cooperation: diagnostics of fusion plasmas, simulation of light propagation and digital image processing, development of optimization methods, optimization of patient exposures arising from diagnostic x-ray procedures.Dr. Miklós Berta, PhD. university associate professorhead of department Back
